McNabb or Rivers?

An interesting dilemma.

Until we acquired Chambers, Philip has ridden the bench - and not always for the better. Donovan hasn't exactly been having a lights-out year, though.

Chambers changes the whole dynamic.

This week, the matchups are Eagles vs. Cowboys, and as well all know, Chargers vs. Vikings.

Something inside is screaming at me to start Rivers this week. Against the Vikes defense (with Winfield possibly sitting out), and with Chambers and Gates, he could have a monster day. The other side knows that the Cowboys can be passed on - but they also rush the passer pretty well. All the fantasy resources tell me to start McNabb, but DMac's let me down a few times this season in big spots.

Interestingly, on a side note, my fantasy record has paralleled the Chargers' exactly. I'm currently 4-3, complete with baffling start and three game winning streak. My team:

I'm not playing FFL this year but I can say your roster would appear to be pretty loaded. Especially this week. I think you can't go wrong with Rivers. All the evidence would suggest that the Chargers are gonna have to throw a lot in order to open up the run later one. The Eagles are playing a division rival that is coming off a bye week. Not to mention they are #6 defense and only giving up 208 through the air. The Vikings are the #32 pass defense!!!

The Vikings aren't that good at defense, but they are better against the run than they are against the pass.

He had a good year last year and is having a bad year this year.

Let's give it some time before we slap on the B word.
